This time, it was about endorsement.... I don't want to say much about all the craziness that's been going on. Instead, I'd like to focus on how nice YY is and why his fans like him so much. I saw this weibo post last night and really enjoyed reading the stories in shared images. Those were screenshots of stories from the fans or people who worked with YY before. Please do read the story in "the 9th image." It's a very sweet story!
Thank you to 新社会顶闲的人 for sharing these screen shots.

I didn't translate all the images. Just several ones I particularly love.
------------
The 2nd image. Conversation with someone who went to YY's singing performance (possibly 2018 Hunan Satellite TV New Year's Eve Concert).
White:
Let me tell you
Before YY went up the stage, he gave all the kids red envelopes (in Chinese culture, adults give kids money in red envelopes as new year presents for kids to buy things they enjoy).
He handed the red envelopes to the kids one by one.
He seemed like a very nice guy.
Everybody said he's so heartwarming.
Green:
Ah~~~~~~
When he was waiting to go on stage to sing the song I just saw?
Did you see it?
For those kids who were there with him on stage? That's too warm! Too warm!
White:
Yes, the moment I got there, I saw him handing the kids red envelopes.

The 3rd image. A weibo post, I guess. This happened when YY went to different cities to promote his movie. I'm not sure which one. I'm guessing "I Belonged To You", because TianJin was one of the cities they visited during the promotion tour. I don't know if "Once Upon A Time" tour visited TianJin.
A report from the audience at the event: There was a question from a fan who was probably from the YY supporting group from TianJin. She said TianJin YY supporting group bought all the tickets for showings of YY's movie in a local theater (so people can go enjoy the movie for free). YY then asked: "How many showings? No worries, I'll cover all the expenses!" The entire audience went "ah~~~~~~~ (in excitement!)"

The 4th image. Weibo post of the national YY supporting group. This was during the recording of "Happy Camp" in 2019/12 for promoting "Vanguard."
National YY Supporting Group official report from the front line.
How many ymls got the milk tea YY bought for everybody? Please raise your hand!! We are super jealous! (More cups of milk tea are coming still, for those who haven't got one, please be patient!)
All the gift packs for the Happy Camp staff and the guests are ready. Wishing you a smooth recording of today's Happy Camp!

The 6th image. I heard from a fan friend that this picture was taken by somebody at the village where the ambulance went. This post was from 2022 summer.
Fundamental work (here, it probably means when receiving aids from a charity organization) seeing for the first time a big star's donation practically got used to purchase an ambulance. Let me award a "good guy card" to Yang Yang.
------------
The 16th image. I think this is related to the one above (6th image), so I moved it up here. Not sure who posted this picture. According to my fan friend, this one was from 2016.
YangYang did not attend the BAZAAR Celebrity Charity Night, nor did he participate in the auction. But in addition to the fund raised from birthday party broadcast streaming (<-- not 100% sure about this part, or maybe it includes the funds raised by YY's fan clubs through some of their activities in the 12-month period before the BAZAAR event?), Yang Yang personally donated 350,000 RMB outside the event. There was no publicity and no press release to the media. If we hadn't seen this picture, no fans would have known about this. He did a lot quietly outside the spotlight, but he never talked about them.
(Well, people might doubt the source of this picture. But I think the 6th image above from 2022 is a solid evidence that his donation actually happened. Because according to this 16th image, in addition to the 350,000 RMB, YY donated 5 ambulances! And the fund raised from the broadcast streaming was 118,127 RMB. It seems like the total came out to be 1,878,127 RMB, including the ambulances. Based on my calculation, (1,878,127-118,127-350,000)/5 = 282,000 RMB, which is approximately $40,528 US dollar now, and it felt like a reasonable amount for a regular vehicle. However, it seems like the average box-style ambulance costs $125,000~$150,000 in the US. So, I don't actually know how the 1,878,127 RMB breaks down. But, anyway, you got the point.)

The 9th image!! I don't think I've seen this one before. And this one seemed to be posted in 2020 summer by a hair stylist or somebody who worked with YY before. So, it's different because it's from somebody who actually knows YY. And the details she shared were sooooo precious! OMG~ She is a very lucky lady (from what she wrote, she should be > 30 years old at that time). And I am so grateful she shared such a sweet story with us.

A few days before my birthday, YY sent me a WeChat saying that I must reserve the day of my birthday for him, as if the bossy CEO was talking, leaving no room for negotiation. That afternoon (birthday afternoon), he said he would drive to pick me up at my company when I got off work. Once again, I was so flattered that I could float into the sky! He picked out a special restaurant, and he even had the place decorated beforehand. He decided on the menu and cake way ahead of time, and every detail was well thought out. During the meal, his manager laughed and told me YY asked her (the manager) to prepare my birthday present two months ago; he asked her to buy the most beautiful horse for me! A real horse! Because he knew that I really love horses, and the only sports I enjoy is also horse riding. So, he wanted to give me a beautiful and strong horse as a present, and he would help me put the horse in a stable so somebody could take care of the horse for me. His manager said he was crazy... A real living horse could be a sweet burden, but what if the stable goes out of business? I won't be able to bring the horse back to my house and take care of it. I certainly would be shocked if a tall and big horse actually appeared in front of me as my "surprise", now that I think about it. After all, a big creature that can live for 20~30 years is not a kitten or a puppy. But I felt so warm inside my heart! It reminded me that when I turned 30, I really had the impulsive thought of getting myself a horse as my 30-year-old birthday present (but I didn't at that time). But after all these years, I could not believe the most handsome guy in this whole world had been making the same plan for me... Although (thank goodness) the plan of getting me a real horse got stopped at the end after the rational persuasion from everybody around him, other than myself, he was the ONLY ONE in this world who'd thought of giving me a horse as a gift. What I wanted to say by sharing all these is that, YY might look handsome and slightly clumsy at times from the outside, but he is actually a very delicate/sensitive and considerate person. Although it felt like he's always been protected and taken care of, in fact, he is always taking care of people around him with his kindness, sensitivity, and tenderness. So, when he took on the leader role of the younger brother team (in the variety show "The Irresistible"), I felt he is more qualified than anybody else. The irresistible will start this Friday night on Hunan Satellite TV. I can't want to see YY's performance. See you this Friday night!
(Oh, the following is the screen shot of one of the comments. A fan was asking about the 9th image and asked who that was!?! The fan felt her desire to become YY's friend peaked when she read the story in the 9th image!😁😁😁 And the weibo account owner 新社会顶闲的人 replied "seems like a hair stylist or a staff member from the past.")
------------
The 11th image. I don't know if this was shared by a fan or a staff member because I can't find this account right now. It was from 2015/11/28. So, quite a long time ago. But anyway, it's a cute story. I think I'd love to witness this (or hear him talk at the very least).
When Yang Yang, JSK, and Da Bao Ge (I heard that was his bodyguard at that time) were shopping at the duty free shop (in Hong Kong), Da Bao Ge accidentally knocked over and broke a bottle of perfume. JSK immediately looked at Da Bao Ge with an angry, contempt, and accusing expression. After the incident froze for 10 seconds, YY said slowly with his unique, low, and charming voice: "It's ok. How much does it cost?"
----- The End -----
Yes, it is true that some people might say these stories only showed that YY is rich. But I think the stories showed how generous YY is and much more. If you read the story in the 9th image about planning a birthday party for a friend, you will see how sweet and caring he is as a person. He couldn't do something so special to all the fans or strangers he crossed path with because it is impossible for him to know every single person that well. So, he did what he could to show how much he cared and how much he wanted to do something for people supporting him or simply for people in need. What he did for his friend was sooooooo sweet. He definitely put in a lot of thoughts to come up with such a nice party (and a big surprise that thankfully didn't get realized). I remember YY said in an interview (magazine article or in a video, I forgot) that when he goes abroad, he'd find time to buy gifts for his family and friends. He enjoyed giving them surprises. I hope he has time to go shopping in Venice this time😊
BTW, it seems like YY has been very good in planning parties all along! Not just the PLA 2003 Class 20th Anniversary Reunion Party😄 Ah... I want to be at his party!
Oh, and he did try his best to do something special for his fans! His birthday concerts/parties!! Those were really luxury events, I have to say. I don't know if he has time to do that now, but I believe he is always thinking about showing something special to his fans, through his work!!
