Time flies. It’s September again. It’s your birthday again. Not long ago, I saw a wool asked you, and you said you’ve been self-mediating (自我調解 Zi Wo Tiao Jie = resolving something within himself). When I saw those four words, it suddenly hit me, and I was speechless. I actually didn’t want to talk about these negative things, but I just couldn’t help but feeling unreconciled and wronged. I know you’ve experienced such kind of things so many times, but those criticisms/negative talks truly made me feel like hit by lightning. This was a drama that we looked forward together for a very very long time, from crank-in (start shooting), reuters, airing confirmation… little by little, we waited till this July. My head went blank when the sudden change/reverse in the media opinion came, overwhelmingly. I didn’t know what to do. I kept restraining myself, holding back my tears, enduring the burning anger, until I saw the four words “自我調解 (Zi Wo Tiao Jie)”… All the unreconciled and wronged feelings came out all together… I couldn’t suppress anymore. I was unreconciled about why people couldn’t see all your effort; I felt so wronged why the one whom I’ve held so preciously in my heart had to be criticized/insulted like this…
But going through the past 7 years together, what Yang Yang taught me was “devoting all your best effort is something you do for yourself (<— not for showing others, not to wait for others’ recognition or compliments).” When I was in middle school, I was not happy everyday. I thought about running away. When I saw the window, I wanted to go out. There were too many things and pressure that made me hard to breathe. But I came to a realization one day. To handle all these, it’s nothing more than self-healing (heal myself). Right now, I am very happy. There are things I want to do, and I have people that I love. We’ve been accompanying you and supporting you, and you’ve been encouraging and healing us. I hope your dreams can always come true. I hope you are well all the time. 輕舟已過萬重山 (This is quoted from a poem by Li Bai. It literally means “the light boat (on the river) has passed the group of high mountains (by which the river was winding with lots of rapids).” This poem implies after lots of hardship, a person is arriving at the open water that’s calmer and the journey ahead is filled with light.) We will all be better and better.
And then, it’s our Han Li Li who’s joined the group already!! I live on weibo everyday to see Han Li Li’s rueter pictures. Looking forward to seeing Han Li soon. And there’s Jing Qidi, too!!
It’s going to be your birthday soon. Wish you can always play the roles you like, and wish you happy forever. And then, I also want to go meet you in person. That’s always been my wish. My birthday is also in September. So, wish I can see Yang Yang in person soon!
